Science.
Scientists try to find truth and dedicate themselves to research.
I love science. The study and understanding of how and why things work
the way they do. My choice favorite is Physics. I had a science teacher
in school that said, “Its all Physics!” This is as much true to science
as Christ is to us in our Christian life. You see, in science, Physics
is the one science that controls all other sciences. It’s the physical
reasons why chemicals react the way they do (Chemistry). It is
the understanding of why the moon and stars orbit and shine the way
they do (Astronomy). Inertia, gravity, thermo-dynamics and relativity
are just a few of the laws the great minds of Physics have given us to
understand our environment. In many ways, it’s difficult to prove or
disprove any hypothesis or theory unless your result is still in
agreement with these laws.
In this same manner it is difficult to receive salvation without Christ
and even more difficult to understand why we need salvation without the
Law. Let me explain. The Law shows us that we are sinners. It shows us
how we are sinners and why we need Christ to have a relationship with
the Father.
Because we have broken God’s Law, a price has to be paid for that
indiscretion, no matter how slight (A lie, theft, lusting, murder,
etc.). The Bible says that the price of sin is death. The key to paying
this price is that the sacrifice has to be clean and without flaw. If
you have sinned and broken God’s Law, you are no longer clean and
without flaw, therefore your own death is not sufficient. We have a
perfect and pure sacrifice in Jesus Christ. He died for us and all our
sins. If his payment for our sins was not sufficient, God would not
have raised him from the dead. One sin would have been enough to keep
him in the grave. All we have to do is repent. This is to turn away
from sin and to turn toward God. Not only change in your mind, but in
your heart. God wants to see a change in your heart.

Sin.
I am guilty of sin. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. God chose to forgive me of my sins. |
